Circuit bending es la manera creativa de hacer corto circuitos en aparatos electricos de bajo voltaje (como juguetes para ninos) para crear nuevos instrumentos musicales o generadores de sonido. Enfatizando la espontaneidad y la aleatoriedad el circuit bending ha sido asociado comunmente con la musica NOISE, aunque esta tecnica se ha usado en contextos diversos.

Basicamente esta tecnica consiste en conectar los diferentes componentes electronicos de un aparato entre si de formas que no fueron pensadas en su diseno original, de modo que resulten en comportamientos extranos que puedan llegar a ser interesantes sonoramente. La manera mas facil de hacer esto es con la ayuda de “caimanes” , que son pares de pinzas sujetadoras unidas por un cable. Fijando uno de los extremos del caiman a un componente se pueden buscar diferentes puntos de contacto con el otro extremo del caiman observando los resultados.

El termino circuit bending fue acunado por Reed Ghazala en los anos 60?s siendo el uno de los pioneros en esta tecnica.

El taller consiste en una conversacion acerca de la teoria basica para hacer un circuit bending y los materiales que se ocupan.

Luego se hara un taller practico donde se intervendran juguetes, cada participante debe llevar un juguete que emita sonidos y a pila para intervenir.

Materiales requeridos:
•Juguete a pila en desuso que tengan sonidos de cualquier tipo (teclados, pianitos, munecas, pistolas, guitarras, figuritas, juguetes de bebe, etc.)
•1 metro de cable delgado de red UTP o telefono.
•Alicate cortante, destornilladores de punta y cruz. (chicos)
•Soldador electrico 30 watts, estano, cinta aislante. (se consigue en cualquier ferreteria).
•Taladro o Dremel.
Convoca: Matucana 100, Sudamerica Experimental y Productora Mutante.

Probando velocidades de obturación lentas (1/80) Renault Megane Trophy (World Series by Renault) Circuit de Catalunya





Haciendo unas pruebas en el Circuit de Catalunya con velocidades de obturacion bajas, del orden de 1/100, 1/80 y 1/60, a pulso y sin estabilizador.
Falta foco y definicion en la mitad del coche, la velocidad podria ser mucho mas reducida, y tiene muchas zonas quemadas, pero me gusta en general por la sensacion de velocidad y por lo que me costo ejecutar esta foto sobretodo, ademas de por el angulo de imagen, que ayuda a reforzar ese ideal de sensacion de velocidadad.
